Even though her latest job posting has caused an uproar online, Memphis native GloRilla insists she did nothing wrong. However, whenever she shares anything culturally significant, folks quickly remind her about the low-paying job she supposedly filled.

She tweeted on Sunday about her desire for people to build each other up rather than tear each other down. A flood of agitated tweets from people who had their buttons pushed began to pour in.

“I can’t wait till my culture come together & just show luv to one another, it’s like we tear each other down more than anybody else & it’s wicked,” said the “FNF” rapper.

She continued the thread by tweeting about the rapid spread of bad news and the high price tag of spreading the good word.

“Like why do we have to pay to promote what we do positive but anything negative gets posted quick for free,” she added.

Here are some of Twitter’s reactions to her posts:

The official GloRilla Facebook page posted the personal assistant job listing on Dec. 14. Duties included a wide range of tasks, such as maintaining her schedule, booking flights, hotels, and ground transportation. Planning meals, grocery shopping, mail pickup, keeping track of her wardrobe, and packing and unpacking were also responsibilities.

One woman felt the pay for GloRilla’s personal assistant position was highly unreasonable, while some people didn’t.

With the current economy, do y’all think GloRilla should pay more, or is this a great opportunity that could lead to bigger things?
