Memphis rapper, GloRilla, is having a phenomenal year so far.  Following the success of her breakthrough collaboration with Hitkidd, an amazing BET Hip Hop Awards performance of “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” and her most recent single, “Tomorrow 2” cracking the top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, things are only looking up from here.

However, as GloRilla continues to grow and expand her fanbase, more and more people are learning fun facts about the up-and-coming rapper. The latest piece of info that’s got social media in a frenzy is the discovery of GloRilla’s middle name. A Twitter user came to the realization that GloRilla’s middle name is Hallelujah and folks are in stitches.

Posting a screenshot of what appeared to be GloRilla’s Wikipedia page, GloRilla’s birthname read: Gloria Hallelujah Woods.

It goes without saying that Black Twitter had a field day with this information and couldn’t help but respond hilariously. Many claimed her deep southern roots played a huge part in her unique middle name

Others believed GloRilla had been bringing us the gospel all along.

After further investigation, the screenshot itself appears to be a photoshop of GloRilla’s Wikipedia page. However, a freestyle video from January 2022 seems to confirm that Hallelujah is indeed GloRilla’s middle name.

In the video she raps, “Every time I win I owe it to my Lord and savior/ Middle name Hallelujah so….. yeah”

The rapper followed up with further confirmation that her middle name is Hallelulujah and it explains why she is so gifted.

We all know GloRilla’s faith is strong, and based on her love of gospel music, this wouldn’t be far-fetched. She recently shared with Refinery29, that her passion “most definitely” came from the church.

“I got a lot of solos in the church choir and growing up the only music my mama let us listen to was gospel. We used to have to sneak and listen to the other music,” she said.

She also admits that her mother still has hopes for her to one day become a gospel rapper.

Maybe we’ll hear some gospel-inspired tracks on her new “Anyways, Life’s Great…” EP dropping on Nov. 11.
