Rapper Saweetie is set to appear on the third season of Freeform’s black-ish spinoff, grown-ish. 

The news was announced this week on the show’s social media platforms. It is unknown if she will be portraying herself or a character. This will be the first scripted television appearance for the rapper, whose real name is Diamonte Harper.

grown-ish follows Zoey (Yara Shahidi), Dre (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow’s (Tracee Ellis Ross) popular, entitled, stylish and socially active daughter from black-ish, in college. Shahidi is also joined on-screen by series regulars Trevor Jackson as Aaron Jackson, Jordan Buhat as Vivek Shah, Emily Arlook as Nomi Segal, Francia Raisa as Ana Torres, Chloe and Halle Bailey as Jazz and Star Forster, Deon Cole as Charlie Telphy, Luka Sabbat as Luca Hall and Diggy Simmons as Doug. The Bailey sisters and Sabbat were upped to series regulars for the second season and Simmons will be a series regular in the third season. Ryan Destiny has also been added as a recurring cast member for this upcoming season.

The series is produced by ABC Signature Studios and executive produced by Kenya Barris, Julie Bean, Jenifer Rice-Genzuk Henry, Craig Doyle, Anthony Anderson, Laurence Fishburne, Helen Sugland and E. Brian Dobbins.
