Gucci Mane has had a busy year, but he is definitely is one of the underrated candidates for Person of the Year. The Atlanta emcee was released from prison in May and we got a whole new Gucci. If you check out his interviews with HOT 97, The Fader and more, you'll see a more "conscious" Gucci Mane. He’s still out doing his thing, but he’s more focused on the community, and he’s more focused on being an example to the kids who look up to him. To put the icing on the cake Gucci still managed to drop two solo albums and drop two EPs (one with Future and one with Lil Uzi Vert) and he’s dropping one last album this upcoming Friday.

The majority of this was done on the back half of the year and top it all off, our beloved superhero stopped by NPR for the Tiny Desk Concert Series. With Zaytoven on the keys, this is one of my favorite Tiny Desk concerts from this year. It’s one thing to have your beat playing in the background, but for Gucci to bring Zaytoven to play the keys live is something else.
