Here are more photos of Ms Halle Berry, this time in action, currently shooting Cloud Atlas, in Glasgow, Scotland, along with Hugo Weaving, and director Tom Tykwer doing what he does best.

Both are wearing wigs and dressed in what looks like 1970s gear, so, we can assume they’re shooting one of the *period* segments of the film, which spans centuries and locations, “from Melvillean high-seas drama to California noir and dystopian fantasy.“

And speaking of Melvillean high-seas drama, the very last photo with the ship is also from a segment in the film.

Thus far, little has been revealed about what role each actor attached to the film is playing. We do know that there are six separate but loosely related narratives, and the actors will play multiple roles across all the different storylines, periods and locations.

But thanks to Daily Mail UK, we now know what Halle’s main involvement will be; as the Daily Mail writes: “In Halle’s part of the film journalist Luisa Rey investigates reports of corruption and murder at a nuclear power plant, a story reminiscent of classic movie The China Syndrome, which was released later on that decade.

Having read the book, I can tell you that this is definitely one of the 6 narratives in the story, and it takes place in San Francisco, California, in 1975. So, obviously Glasgow, Scotland is doubling for San Francisco. Her story plays a part in the next chapter’s leading character, of the 6-story epic.

The film is expected in the fall of 2012.
