Here’s the music video for Eminem’s new single, Headlights, which Spike Lee directed.
Consider it the rapper’s ode to Mother’s Day (which is today in the USA), in which he apologizes to his mom for his negative references to her in his past tracks, and a general appreciation for her that he maybe didn’t consider previously.
The video was shot in Eminem’s native Detroit, in early April, mostly from the first-person POV, specifically of Eminem’s mother, Debbie Mathers, exploring the tenuous relationship between the rapper and his mother, eventually leading to the two reconnecting after years of quarrels.
