Weeks after his daughter Aurora Perrineau accused "Girls" writer and producer Murray Miller of rape, Harold Perrineau took to Twitter on Friday to break his silence about the news. In the tweet, Harold explains how the news has affected his family and how he was at a loss for words.
The actor – best known for "Lost," "The Matrix" and "The Best Man" franchises – also declared that "YOU HAVE F*CKED WITH THE WRONG FAMILY!!! WE STAND UP."

The actor's 23-year-old daughter Aurora filed a report with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department on Friday, Nov. 17, stating that Miller raped her in 2012 when she was only 17 years old. "Girls" creator Lena Dunham quickly asserted her white feminism by saying she knew Miller well and didn't think her friend raped Aurora. It's no surprise that Dunham received major backlash for basically calling the actress a liar.
"Believe women, unless they say something about a friend of mine, in which case they are liars."

When news first broke about the incident, Miller's attorney claimed his accuser demanded money – an accusation Aurora and her mother Brittany Perrineau denied. According to Variety, Miller's lawyers Donald and Matthew Walerstein recently retracted the claim in a statement.
“In a previous statement to the media, we stated that Ms. Perrineau sought substantial monetary damages from our client Murray Miller. Neither Ms. Perrineau nor her attorney have ever made a demand for money. Our previous above statement was incorrect and the result of a good-faith misunderstanding.”
