Two esteemed academic institutions will face off against each other on the football field in the fall.
Harvard University announced its fall 2019 football schedule on January 2. The storied rivalry game against Yale is scheduled for November 23. However, another iconic match-up will take place a month earlier: the long-awaited game against Howard University.

The Ivy League institution will host the HBCU on October 5 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. According to the press release, the game marks the first meeting between the two.
HBCU Gameday writes Harvard concluded the 2018 season 6-4, while Howard finished the year 4-6. The site adds the last time both schools met was in 2016, during a game of college basketball.
News of the forthcoming game has already ignited trash talk from tweeters.
