Micah McDade graduated from both high school and his wheelchair at the same time on Friday.
Born with cerebral palsy, Micah needed a wheelchair his entire life, requiring several surgeries and constant rehabilitation. After months of hard work and dedication into his senior year, he did something during the ceremony that surprised the crowd.
Micah rolled up to the stage in his wheelchair, stood up and with the help of a walker, made his way across to receive his diploma. Micah’s family, friends, and classmates cheered him on with a standing ovation.
