Tanya Morgan is a hip-hop group out of Brooklyn and Cincinnati that consists of artists Von Pea and Don Will. They’ve been in the game for a long time and have done it their way. Their classic record Brooklynati still gets tons of plays out of me. However, when it comes down to it, this group has stayed consistent throughout the years. Brooklynati, the cult classic, dropped in 2009 with LPs and EPs in the group’s bag before that release. Since then, they’ve released a couple of EPs, came back even better with their follow-up LP Rubber Souls and dropped an album with their larger group The Lessondary. All that being said, it seems like the train just keeps moving with Tanya Morgan getting set to release their next EP Abandoned Theme Park.

Here we are with “Stoop (turnitout)” produced by Lessondary group member Che Grand. The track has Don and Von picking up where things left off. I can’t pinpoint the sample Che used, but the vibe encompasses a spacey but still vintage vibe. The lyrics from Von Pea and Don Will are on some next level, yet still manage to be personal. As someone who spent his adolescence listening to them, I really do feel they’ve helped my transition into adulthood. You can listen to the spacey track below. Abandoned Theme Park drops on November 10th. and as a bonus you can actually expect the next Tanya Morgan LP, You Get What You Pay For, to drop this winter.
