One of the most iconic scenes in dark comedy Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul. is when megachurch pastor Lee-Curtis Childs (Sterling K. Brown) and First Lady Trinitie Childs (Regina Hall) rap the lyrics to Crime Mob’s Knuck if You Buck.

The two had just come from acting holy in front of their congregation, and the scene revealed their true inner selves. Many viewers loved the scene, including Crime Mob’s own, Princess.

Princess posted the clip of the film on her Instagram with a caption praising the scene and its humorous take on church culture.

“My parents always said we need to use our talents for the Lord,” she wrote, as BET reported. “…#honkforjesus was filmed on flat shoals pkwy in Decatur ga, at the old Cathedral church…Well known on the Eastside…@sterlingkbrown @morereginahall are rapping #knuckifyoubuck…..and the movie airs the same weekend we did our first show…If you don’t think God has a sense of humor…”

Princess also posted a clip from The Breakfast Club where Hall admits she hadn't heard the song before learning about it for the role.

Princess wrote in the caption, “Aye @cthagod I was thinking maybe you can ask @morereginahall to rap it live when we come to Cali for #millenniumtour.” She also added that she wants to be a part of Issa Rae’s new series Rap Sh*t.

Hall talked about the role of Trinitie with Shadow and Act recently and addressed the challenge that came with making a dark comedy about the Black church.

“I read the script and really just had a response to all of the characters, the world, the church, and point of view,” she said. “I always love something that feels a little scary and a little challenging, and it did. I loved the mix of drama and comedy but I loved the mockumentary feel of it. I thought that the way that it would be shot with good execution would be really just interesting.”
