Many people look forward to the fall season, but one thing we aren’t looking forward to is the autumn-inspired premiere of Pumpkin Spice Spam.
As much as we wish this wasn’t a thing, Hormel Foods — the makers of Spam — announced to CNN that the limited edition of the canned meat product will hit Walmart shelves and their online store on September 23. The pumpkin spice flavor will include cinnamon, clove, allspice and nutmeg.
It’s real, it’s delicious and it’s for your enjoyment. Look for limited edition SPAM® Pumpkin Spice 2-packs coming Sept. 23rd to https://t.co/cdPAAqrwms and https://t.co/EEa1WIc63I. Eat one, save one! #SPAMBrand

Clearly, the Twitter universe had much to say about this unnecessary invention.

It’s only the middle of August and Pumpkin Spice Spam already ruined my entire holiday season.

While the food brand suggests that eaters pair the canned meat dish with waffles or cornbread, we'll just stick to what we know and leave the pumpkin spice to our hot, caffeinated beverages.
