This past Independence Day will be one for the history books for a lucky family in Houston.

Linda and Thomas Agi brought four gorgeous children, three girls and one boy, home on the Fourth of July.

While the nation enjoyed cookouts and fireworks, the Agi family were leaving a hospital with their quadruplets wrapped in American flag-inspired blankets.

Mercy Grace Dotuchowo, Adriel Wohuowo, Amaris Owopoha and Zephania Ohoyenta were born nearly four weeks ago but were not allowed to go home until Independence Day. For that period, they stayed at the Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit gathering strength to make the journey home.

KHOU reports the children weighed less than four pounds. Two of the siblings weighed less than three pounds at birth.

“And for the quadruplets, the care by the entire NICU team was exceptional,” Dr. Rachna Bhala said regarding the high-risk pregnancy.

Linda told KHOU she was happy to finally have her children after the ordeal they had to overcome.

“I am thrilled to be a new, first-time mom and happy to have all four of our babies home from the hospital,” Linda said. “I want to thank the entire NICU team at Memorial Hermann Southwest for their care for me and my babies over the last month.”

Now, with the babies safe and sound, it appears four is their lucky number.
