All eyes are now on the USA as the 2024 presidential election enters the home stretch. News networks are already ramping their coverage through TV and digital platforms to cover the race between Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Republican nominee Donald Trump, as well as the rest of the storylines regarding the election.

Here are some of the places where you can stream election news or watch on TV.

Traditional news networks

Major news networks CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, NBC, ABC News and CBS are already covering the election on their cable networks and digital platforms. While the networks differ in how much free content they allow on the internet, CNN does not require a subscription to stream online. CBS News, which provided free streaming on YouTube for the 2020 election, may give the same service again.

Digital platforms

On election night, Prime Video will stream news coverage with anchor Brian Williams. Viewers also have the option to sign up for free trials on several platforms, including Peacock, YouTube TV, Sling, PlayStation Vue and FuboTV.

Election coverage is also available online through The Washington Post, which will stream its Post Live Election Daily show and provide updates throughout the day with a live blog. The Associated Press will provide a live blog as well throughout the election. Meanwhile, NPR will once again serve as one of the go-to sources for radio coverage.

Social media

Social media will be a popular source as well per usual. However, users will need to verify information carefully before posting or sharing from various social media sources. Twitter and Facebook in particular have served as popular platforms for sharing news for a long time, but TikTok was also used heavily in the 2020 election, and that will likely be the case again in 2024. The Federal Election Committee will post official results on social media.
