Usher’s first-born son, Usher “Cinco” V, celebrated his Sweet 16 on Sunday. The entertainer was performing as part of his Las Vegas residency when he honored his son on stage.
“This is a special night to me because my firstborn was born tonight. It’s Cinco’s birthday, and I dedicated this performance to him, which is why I was going so hard,” he told the crowd.
Usher also shared a video to Instagram showing behind-the-scenes of his son’s birthday party and a video call of himself wishing Cinco a happy birthday.
“I want to be the first to say happy birthday to you,” Usher said, while both laughed and exchanged “I love yous” over the phone.

Cinco shared his own Instagram post celebrating the milestone birthday. He posted photographs of himself at the party with his father, holding a signed Nike Air Force One and on stage, a mic in hand.

Usher shares Cinco and Naviyd with his ex-wife, Tameka Foster, as well as Sire and Sovereign with his girlfriend, Jenn Goicoechea.
“I try my hardest to base my schedule around the time that they’re not in school,” he said about spending time with his children, according to People. “My youngest, the 1 and 2-year-olds, they’re here [in Las Vegas], while my two boys are now less interested in spending time with me, oddly.”
“Unless I’m taking them to a concert or paying for something they want,” he added jokingly.
