Usher fans are now eagerly anticipating the arrival of the next Super Bowl. The NFL delivered the welcome news on Sunday in promo videos featuring celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Deion Sanders. Mimicking his popular Confession track in the promo videos, Usher gets calls from his celebrity friends, who reveal to him that he has been chosen to perform at the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show presented by Apple Music.

Usher will also release his next album, Coming Home, on the same day as the Super Bowl. The Confession singer’s previous album, Hard II Love, was released in 2016, Billboard reported.

Usher previously performed at the Super Bowl in 2011, when the The Black Eyed Peas headlined the show, Deadline reported. The Eight-time Grammy winner will now headline the show on Feb. 11 at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium.

“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before,” Usher said in a statement. “Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”

Apple Music is getting to ready to sponsor the Super Bowl halftime show for the second time after sponsoring the event last season when Rihanna performed. Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, which has partnered with the NFL since 2019, is also hyped for Usher’s turn.

“Usher is the ultimate artist and showman. Ever since his debut at the age of 15, he’s been charting his own unique course. Beyond his flawless singing and exceptional choreography, Usher bares his soul,” Jay-Z said in a statement. “His remarkable journey has propelled him to one of the grandest stages in the world. I can’t wait to see the magic.”
