Ice Cube will reprise his role as Captain Dickson in the unnecessary upcoming sequel to 21 Jump Street, which will be titled… wait for it… 22 Jump Street.
Cube returns the buddy-cop action-comedy that stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill.
Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller also are returning to helm the film.
Production begins at the end of this month.
It shouldn’t be a surprise that a sequel is coming, after the first film grossed $138 million domestically for a total of $202 million worldwide.
Up next for Mr Cube, Ride Along alongside Kevin Hart, which opens during the MLK holiday weekend in 2014.
