Ice Spice has called on Nigerian artist Rema for her new single, “Pretty Girl.” The Bronx native released the collaborative project Friday, which is surely another hit. If this song makes its way onto the Billboard charts, it will be her fifth top-ten track.

Ice is familiar with creating music with other artists; her Billboard Hot 100 hits have features. “Karma” features Taylor Swift, which rose to the No. 2 spot, “Boy’s a Liar, Pt. 2” features PinkPantheress at No. 3, “Princess Diana” with Nicki Minaj climbed to No. 4, and “Barbie World” with Nicki Minaj and Aqua peaked at No. 7.

Rema took the summer by storm when he dropped his “Calm Down” remix with Selena Gomez. The remixed track reached No. 3 on the Hot 100 and topped the U.S. Afrobeats chart, Adult Pop Airplay, Pop Airplay, Rhythmic Airplay and World Digital Song Sales charts, according to Billboard. Rema won the best afrobeats award with Gomez at the 2023 MTV VMAs in September.

Ice is not only a pretty girl but also a booked and busy girl. “Pretty Girl” drops the day before her Saturday Night Live debut. She will open the 49th season premiere with host Pete Davidson. She will begin touring with Doja Cat on the Scarlet Tour this winter.

Ice Spice has taken a few accolades home. She won best new artist at the 2023 MTV VMAs and best breakthrough hip-hop artist award at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards.

Many fans are eager to hear the song after discovering Ice Spice was Nigerian by way of her father. Do you think this will be another instant hit for the young artists?
