A little more than two years after dropping her breakout single “Munch,” Ice Spice has officially announced the release of her debut album via her social media platforms.

The cover art is inspired by New York City. It features the “Gimmie A Light” rapper, who was born in 2000, posing next to a subway entrance. The scene is adorned with graffiti, including the album’s title, Y2K, written on a trash can.

Adding to the visual impact, Ice Spice oozes confidence and allure in her outfit of booty shorts and knee-high boots, bringing her signature style to the forefront.

The 24-year-old artist not only revealed the album’s cover art but also announced the anticipated release date of July 26.

“HIIIII >.< Y2K ☆ THE ALBUM WILL BE DROPPING JULY 26TH !!!! pre-save now ;*,” she tweeted.

Despite having a heavy drill sound, she explained that she wants to achieve massive success, so fans can expect different sounds on the project. While still catering to her die-hard fans with drill bops, Spice is aiming for more mainstream success.

“For me personally, I think I have passed that,” she told the NY Times. “I do want to be a mainstream artist. I want diamond records and plaques and Grammys. So I think in order to get that, you do have to surpass just one subgenre.”

Ice Spice has released three singles from her debut project, including “Pretty Girl,” “Think U the Sh*t (Fart)” and her latest, “Gimme A Light.”
