While we’re on the subject of thinking globally, the USA deadline for the IFP’s No Borders International Co-Production Market, for international producers, is May 24th, which is this Friday.
We’ve alerted you to this initiative before, but to briefly recap, the No Borders at IFP’s Independent Film Week Project Forum presents USA and international scripts seeking financing and international co-production. Selected projects are provided with professional pitching and industry consultation prior to participation in the market, and throughout Film Week, participants will take part in one-to-one meetings with top industry leaders from all over the world, including financiers, distributors, sales agents, and festival programmers.
Films that S&A has covered that went through the program include: Behn Zeitlin’s Beasts of the Southern Wild, Joshua Sanchez’s Four, Rashaad Ernesto Green’s Gun Hill Road, Pia Marais’ Layla Fourie, Sara Blecher’s Otello Burning, and more.
The event takes place during Independent Film Week in New York City, which runs from September 15 – 19, 2013.
