On Saturday, Oct. 23, the 3rd annual MACRO x HBCU Entertainment Summit descended upon Atlanta for a fun, informative, and interactive in-person experience. In partnership with Beats, Warner Bros. Pictures, SheaMoisture, The National Urban League, and Live Nation, the event connected HBCU students, alumni, and aspiring media and entertainment industry professionals with insights and resources to help get them acclimated with the entertainment business.
The mini-festival featured panel discussions from industry professionals, live music, games, giveaways, and even a first look at the highly anticipated film, King Richard. Blavity U was on the scene to experience the summit for ourselves. Check out our photos from the weekend.
The "Damn, That's A Job?" panel is underway.
There were four discussions to check out at the MACRO x HBCU Summit — The "Playbook" panel, "Damn, That's A Job?", "All The Way Live", and the "Watch Them Work" Docu-series panel.
During the "Damn, That's A Job?" panel, executives spoke on redefining what it means to be a storyteller and creating your lane based on your unique skills and interests. Speakers included Jon Gist, Provi Fulp, and Arthur Lewis.

There was no shortage of things to do at the HBCU Summit. With games, giveaways, and ample booths, there was plenty of entertainment to go around.
Atlanta came dressed to impress.
Atlanta brought their A-game in the fashion department. Everyone came to make a statement — literally and figuratively.
"Watch Them Work"
The "Watch Them Work" digital docuseries premiered during the MACRO x HBCU Entertainment Summit. The series follows two HBCU scholar-entrepreneurs as they handle their books and their business
After the "Watch Them Work" docu-series panel, celebrity stylist and Clark Atlanta's own, Darris Rushing, took photos with fellow panelists Simone Jordan and Rachel Motley. Then he caught up with a few supporters.
