Is Law Roach retiring? That is what he’s saying in a new Instagram post.

The celebrity stylist and former Legendary judge is announcing his alleged retirement, writing on Instagram, “My Cup is empty…..thank you to everyone who’ve supported me and my career over the years.”

“Every person that trusted me with their image, I’m so grateful for you all,” he continued. “If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately it’s not! The politics, the lies and false narratives finally got me! You win … I’m out.”

Celebrities familiar with Roach and his work also sounded off in the comments, with RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Shea Coulee writing, “Sorry. I’m not accepting this.”

Model/actress Liris Crosse wrote, “We love your work! People also need to accept if you want to change and go in another direction or maybe just need a mental break. This industry can take a lot from you mentally, physically and spiritually. Restore yourself and we await your next move even if it’s a return! Do what’s best for YOU!”

Naomi Campbell also wrote, “Law I won’t let you!!!! We don’t quit .. strived too hard.”

British Vogue Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful wrote, “You will always have a home @britishvogue.”

Christian Siriano echoed the majority opinion of shock, writing, “Absolutely not. Oh I get it. But this can’t be!! Your light is too bright!!”

There’s no clarification on what the false narratives or lies Roach is addressing.

Throughout Roach’s career, he has been held as the pinnacle in styling, with Roach calling himself an “image architect.” His talent has been most notably seen with his frequent collaborations with Zendaya, who quickly became a fashion icon in part from Roach’s styling abilities. He has also received his fair share of praise and criticism as one of the judges on Legendary, HBO Max’s now-canceled competition series based on queer ballroom culture. Roach has also experienced personal loss in recent years after announcing the death of his three-year-old nephew in 2021.
