Issa Rae mesmerized the internet when she went to Instagram on Monday to share photos of her wedding. In a well-written caption thanking her wedding dress designer and planning service, she casually inserted some jokes.
"My girls came to help me, but they all coincidentally had on the same dress! They were sooooo embarrassed," Rae wrote. "Then I took a few flicks with Somebody’s Husband."
According to E, the Insecure star traveled to France to marry her longtime boyfriend Louis Diame in front of a few guests.
The photos received plenty of reactions on social media.

Rae's Instagram caption confused a few gullible internet users, who wondered if five random people really showed up to a wedding in France wearing the same dress.
Yall, the caption is sarcasm… yall think 5 women showed up to France is the same dress “coincidentally”?…. Smh the woman is MARRIED

Most fans, however, can see the authentic joy expressed in the photos.
Oh, my goodness. This is such a surprise. Issa looks beautiful, and her husband looks handsome.

Much of the remaining details about the private wedding are still unknown. That's typical for Rae who often chooses to keep her life private.
When the 36-year-old showed off a ring in 2019 while appearing on the cover of Essence, fans assumed that she had received a proposal from her lover. Rae initially squashed the rumors when she appeared on The View.
"I've got a lot of rings on my finger. I wear jewelry, you know?" she said.
Rae's co-stars Jay Ellis and Yvonne Orji rekindled the speculation while attending the 2019 NAACP Image Awards.
"We're very excited for her," Orji told reporters.
"We all found out in different ways because we're all on different text chains," Ellis added. "We talk at different times, so we all found out at different times in different ways."
