If you caught the season 3 premiere of “Insecure” on Sunday, you saw Issa Rae pick up a side hustle as a Lyft driver since her full-time gig hit sis with a sudden pay cut.
But turns out the 33-year-old actually thought about securing a Lyft lifestyle. OK Magazine reports the Emmy award winner once rented a car in Malibu while writing an episode Insecure, and filled up the tank before returning it. Not wanting to return the car on a full tank, she strongly considered driving folks around as a Lyft employee.
Unfortunately (but thankfully) her thought was never executed, and the comedienne decided to stick with writing one of the greatest shows to hit small screens nationwide, and serving major looks on your favorite magazine covers.
