J. Cole is already starting out 2017 on a strong note. Last week, it was announced that his 4 Your Eyez Only album has already gone gold while his single “Deja Vu” tears up the radio charts, reaching the Top 100 top 10 hits. 

While the rest of us were sleeping in, the Dreamville rapper released his first song of 2017 called “High For Hours,” a track where Cole gets deep into the issues of oppression and the hypocrisy of America with their vicious cycle of elitism. He also goes into details about him meeting President Barack Obama and his thought process before head.
