I found this Jacqueline Fleming interview with Matt J. Horn in his BLOG, in which she talks about her upcoming roles in T.D. Jakes‘ On the Seventh Day and the Tim Burton production Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
Jacqueline Fleming, who currently co-stars in the Matthew Chapman drama The Ledge starring Terrence Howard, will be seen in T.D. Jakes’s On the Seventh Day.
The film, currently shooting in New Orleans, also stars Blair Underwood, Sharon Leal, Pam Grier and Nicole Beharie.
Although she didn’t provide any details on which character she’ll play, Fleming gave some insight into the film:
“This year has been very good to me! I am currently in production on a new TD Jakes film “On the Seventh Day”. I have a starring role alongside Blair Underwood, Pam Grier, and Sharon Leal. It’s being shot entirely in New Orleans. The story involves the kidnapping of a little girl and the secrets that are revealed about her parents and the other adults during the search to find her. The message in this movie will have an impact of biblical proportions. It is expected to be released in Nov/Dec 2011.”
If her remarks are correct, the film’s Nov/Dec release later this year is much sooner than I expected.
Jacqueline Fleming will also be seen next year in Timur Bekmambetov‘s Abraham Licoln: Vampire Hunter along with Benjamin Walker and Anthony Mackie playing the role of none other than Harriet Tubman, which I wasn’t aware of until now.
Here’s what she had to say about that role:
Oh my god! ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ was one of the best experiences I have had in my career. I was very honored to have been hand-picked to play the role of Harriet Tubman. I can not reveal any more on the project. Of course you know it’s a Tim Burton production and he’s definitely busy putting his post-production finishing touches on as we speak. Look out for the movie in June 2012.
I’m very curious about the Abraham Lincoln project overall. I’m sure we will hear much more about it on the site in the coming months. 🙂
