Jaden Smith, 23, posted a series of body-positive pictures showing off two shirtless selfies on Instagram before hopping on stage as Justin Beiber’s Justice Tour opener.

“On the road again,” Smith captioned his healthy body photos. Smith has gained 10-pounds since changing his lifestyle.

Smith took about two years of consistent eating, supplements, and protein shakes to achieve his body goal. The decision for change followed behind a family conversation during a Facebook Red Table Talk episode in 2019 where Will and Jada Smith held an intervention for Jaden Smith to openly discuss his extreme weight loss and eating habits.

“Will and I had a bit of an intervention with Jaden because he’s a vegan now, but we realized he wasn’t getting enough protein,” Jada said. “So he was wasting away. He just looked drained; he was just depleted. He wasn’t getting the nutrients.”

“He had the dark circles under his eyes, there was even a little grayness to his skin. We got really nervous, but you are definitely looking better now,” Will added.

In Dec. 2021, Jaden visited the red table for an updated conversation about his weight journey, saying that he’s changed up his meal intake added the gym and supplements to his life.

“I was able to work with the doctors and really get my vitamins and get my supplements and protein shakes,” he said. “That’s half of my diet. It’s like a password that I have to find to my body. I’m like, 10 lbs. heavier now at this point.”

Jaden shared that he looks much different from the previous shirtless pictures circulated of him at Coachella in 2019.

“That was a long way from where I was when I was at Coachella, where I just was like, bones,” he said, looking at the photos. “I thought I was so tight. I was like, ‘This. I’m swagging on this. Like, I need to take off my shirt right now.”

Congratulations on the weight gain!
