Jason Derulo is getting wide praise after leaving a tip of more than $5,000 for a waiter in Omaha, Nebraska. Jordan Schaffer, the waiter at Charleston’s Restaurant in Omaha, thanked the artist with a heartwarming video on TikTok.
“Hey Jason, thank you, you just paid for a semester of my college. I can’t say thank you enough,” Schaffer said in the video. “I hope you and your family have a wonderful time in Omaha, and I hope you see us again. Thank you so much.”

In his video, Schaffer revealed Derulo’s bill, which amounted amounted to $5,795 with the tip.
Derulo commented under the video, saying Schaffer seemed “like a great person.” The generous artist thanked the student for taking great care of his family at the restaurant.
“Keep spreading the love bro,” he wrote.
Derulo is remembered for another generous move he pulled off in 2020. At that time, Derulo joined Will Smith to surprise Aiden Yielding, a 14-year-old who had been undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia. The duo delighted the teen with a virtual visit, CBS News reported.
