Actress Jenifer Lewis recalled a troubling encounter she had with a woman concerning Bill Cosby during a spirited interview at The Breakfast Club in New York City on Tuesday, May 15.

The author of "The Mother of Black Hollywood" briefly discussed the disgraced comedian when asked about him in connection with her time on The Cosby Show. Host Charlamagne Tha God asked Lewis if she had ever seen anything "suspicious."

Last month, Cosby was found guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004. About 60 women have publicly accused Cosby of sexual assault, The Atlantic reported

"…I saw some suspicious s**t, yes I did, yes I did," Lewis responded.

Lewis detailed an encounter years ago where she met a young woman who alleged she was raped by Cosby. The 61-year-old said she told the woman she was acting in The Cosby Show when the woman suddenly had a concerning reaction.

"I turned around and when I tell you this girl turned red, she was like – I turned around and her whole s**t had changed, had reversed in a second, just from hearing his name," Lewis said. "I said, 'What's wrong with you?'"

She said the woman responded, "He raped me."

Lewis explained how the attitude toward rape culture has evolved since the 1990s and how it was hard to believe then that Cosby was capable of such horrendous crimes.

Reflecting on the interaction, Lewis said, "There's some sh*t you can't fake… now why would this child roll up and say some s**t like that to me?" she added explaining that it's unrealistic to think the woman was lying.

Lewis also said that a friend of hers claimed Cosby slapped her rear end as she and Lewis left his dressing room.
