Jesse Williams (Grey's Anatomy, Cabin in The Woods) is currently "in talks" for a role in Lee Daniels highly-anticipated historical drama The Butler, based on the life of Eugene Allen, a white house employee for almost three dozen years .
We updated you two days ago on some more details to the storyline and the additions to the already impressive cast, which includes Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, David Oyelowo, Matthew McConaughey, Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard, John Cusack and Jane Fonda.
The script is said to be done, and the cast is mostly in place with Oprah playing Allen's/Whitaker's wife, David Oyelowo as Allen's/Whitaker's son, Fonda as Nancy Reagan, and Cusack rumored as Richard Nixon. No word as of yet on which role Williams is in negotiations for.
The film will be shopped this year at Cannes Film Market via IM Global.
