Jessica White is finally sharing her story about her relationship with Nick Cannon — and she’s happy to be the one that got away.  The 39-year-old model recently attended the premiere of French Montana’s new documentary, For Khadija, at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.

During an exclusive interview with Page Six, White dropped a few bombs about her relationship with Cannon, who is a father to 12 children. “I went through an emotionally abusive relationship, and everybody goes through it,” she said. “I am just the first person in Hollywood to talk about it and not try to make a pretty picture of it. I don’t want to be perfect.”

White and Cannon dated from 2015 to 2020. However, White claimed their relationship was off and on for eight years. In a 2021 interview with Hollywood Unlocked‘s Jason Lee, White said that she experienced pregnancy loss and discovered Cannon was expecting his first child with another woman all within a couple of weeks. “[Brittany Bell] was aware that I just had a miscarriage two weeks prior to her news coming out because he told me that he told her,” White said during the interview. “I was living at his house, and she knew that as well.”

She went on to tell Lee how she found out about Cannon and Bell’s relationship via Instagram. “I was going through still my hormonal changes, and we were about to start in vitro,” she said. “So when I came out, people thought I was this homewrecker. No, there was a real-life going on. I was bullied for months with that whole situation. I still tried to be nice about it. We didn’t break up right away, we tried to work things out.”

Earlier this month, the former Victoria’s Secret model posted a long message directed toward Cannon. The post was concerning what may be exposed about their relationship during White’s airtime as a new cast member of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.

She said she used Instagram as her sounding board because she couldn’t get in contact with him directly.

“I know you’re upset about the show but after eight years I can’t stand when things catch you off guard,” she wrote in the since-deleted message. “I feel like you deserve way more respect as a man even though I may be more respectful than you ever gave me with public announcements.”

She added: “I wanted it to work, prayed every day that you’d see me and love me the way that I loved you. Maybe you did but just kept it from me during the relationship. I walked away with more questions than anything, I don’t know till this day really why current things had to happen.”

When asked about the cryptic post, White told Page Six she regretted publicly posting the message, saying, “I probably regret that [because] I should have saved it for the f**king book, and got paid for it.”

Cannon’s short mention in her life story indicates that the New York native will never get back with him.

“I am not ever going back and that’s the facts,” she said. “I am having so much fun without him, and I am better without him, and I don’t need all that energy and all that s**t. I am done.”

Despite it all, she is still open to finding love.

“I am going to try, but with the right man this time,” she said. “I am putting myself out there. Part of my healing process is not sitting back and waiting to be fully healed… nobody ever really is. I can’t wait to make love and have a baby soon. Oh yeah, I am all for it.”

Overall, White is “tired of talking about Nick” and ready to put everything with Cannon behind her, stating, “I am done.” She urged the outlet to “please post” her message: “I am so tired of talking about Nick Cannon. I really want to move past this because I don’t want the next guy to come in and think that he is competing with that energy because he isn’t. I am over it. I just want to go into the world and have people see me and ask me questions outside of him at this point.”
