Music couple Big Sean and Jhené Aiko, known popularly by fans as Twenty88, just dropped a nostalgic tribute to '90s Black love in the debut "Body Language" video.

The duo delivered an intimate glimpse into their evolving relationship that includes allusions to popular Black '90s romantic films. The “Body Language” video succeeds in paralleling their relationship with iconic Black couples, such as Janet Jackson and Tupac Shakur's characters in Poetic Justice.

The video wastes no time giving viewers all the feels right at the start with its Love Jones-inspired opener of Big Sean gracing the stage to spit his verses. There's a nod to Shakur's role in Poetic Justice where the Detroit 2 rapper drove a postal service truck. But it's Aiko's scene-stealing scenes as Jackson's character, Justice,  that really puts this visual over the top due to Aiko's incredibly accurate visualization. From the braids to the loving glances, Aiko really shines as Justice next to Sean’s portrayal as Shakur's character, Lucky.

Just when you thought the nostalgia couldn't get any more spot-on, Aiko envisions setting her man’s car on fire like Angela Bassett in Waiting to Exhale. Classic!

But there's also plenty of love and romance just oozing off the screen between the couple. In a subsequent speaking scene, Aiko confesses to a character based on Nia Long’s character in the movie Love Jones that “it was like his d*** just talked to me.”

Music artist Ty Dollar $ign is also featured in the video as he sings vocals on the track, but he is primarily featured during the closing scenes that replicate the bachelor party in the classic film The Best Man.

The “Body Language” song is one of two collaborations Aiko has with Sean on his album Detroit 2, and they also worked together on “None of Your Concern” off of her latest album Chilombo.

Though the rapper is still celebrating the wins from Detroit 2’s September release, he said earlier this fall a follow-up to Twenty88’s debut album is in the works, according to Rap Up.
