Producer Hal Lieberman (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Vacancy) has acquired rights to football legend/actor Jim Brown's life story for a feature film that will be written by Bob Eisele (The Great Debaters) and directed by Jonathan Hock, (primarily a director of documentaries like Lost Son Of Havana and Michael Jordan To The Max).
The package is being shopped around currently, according to Deadline.
“I’ve been a fan and follower of his career over my lifetime, and there is 50 years of history under his belt,” Lieberman said.
Given the credits of the above trio (producer, writer, director) I'm not really sure what to expect here.
So here's the million-dollar question: who should play Jim Brown? What young black actor can properly work this?
Or better yet, who will play a young Raquel Welch when they reenact the making of 100 Rifles 🙂
No word on when we can expect to see this. Lots still has to happen before a single frame is shot.
