Joe Budden was trending on social media for saying he was “coming out” as bisexual, but it turns out it may have just all been a gimmick.

On Nov. 4, Budden appeared to admit that he was bisexual while on the Joe Budden podcast saying, “I’m bisexual, how do I spread this news? How do I spread the word? Yo, listen, I like guys and girls. Spread the word. I’m down.”

The 41-year-old's comments were likely taken out of context, as his comments were made in response to DaBaby’s homophobic and controversial rant during this year’s Rolling Loud Miami concert.

As Blavity previously reported, DaBaby took to the stage and spewed homophobic comments to a sold-out crowd, and let loose a flurry of homophobic comments.

"If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up," he said to the crowd between songs.

"Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d**k in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”

Initially not backtracking on his verbal stance, DaBaby quickly changed his tune after being dropped as a headliner for upcoming concerts. But that didn't stop hip-hop heavyweights from weighing in on cancel culture and how it would affect the fate of the rapper's career.

Budden and his co-stars described the LGBTQ+ community as like a mafia family trying to blackmail DaBaby's career progression in exchange for money and apologies.

He later responded to his "announcement" circulating online, commenting, “Ahhhhhhh, I see the word got out!! Continue to spread the word pls.”

Budden not “clearing up” any misconceptions didn’t stop his ex-girlfriend Tahiry Jose from commenting on the rapper.

She took to Twitter to downplay the "Pump It Up" lyricist saying, "Joey May be a woman beater but far from Bi… and Vado better stop calling, DM'ing me and popping up to my old crib. I'm just sayin."

The two dated for several years on and off before breaking off their relationship in 2013. Their dating journey saw life on the popular Love & Hip Hop VH1 franchise only to see Jose reject Budden’s proposal in Time Square, reports HipHopDx.
