Joe Jonas has presented an unforgettable moment to a Black woman who said she faced racism at a Jonas Brothers concert. After hearing about the fan, who goes by itslatoia on Instagram, Joe promised to make things right.
“Completely unacceptable,” Jonas wrote in the comment section of the fan’s Instagram video, per Atlanta Black Star. “I’m sorry you had this experience. I don’t condone this type of behavior from anyone. If you ever change your mind, just know arms wide open over here.”
What did the Jonas Brothers fan say in her Instagram video?
As she talked about her recent experience at the Jonas Brothers concert in Charlotte, North Carolina, Latoia said she was harassed by two white fans and multiple security guards. The frustrated fan said the two female concertgoers accused her of sneaking into the concert for free, and the guards continued to harass her.
“I had two white women coming up to me and ask me what was I doing and telling me I didn’t belong here,” Latoia said in her video. “Even though I paid for floor seats. I had security called on me 13 times.”
Latoia said one of the white women left her seat to go to a security guard.
“Next thing you know, security is coming up telling me I have to move,” she wrote. “
The guard, according to Latoia, replied, “Well, you’re the only Black girl on the floor, of course, you’re going to stick out like a sore thumb.”

What did Joe Jonas do when he saw his fan at a Jonas Brothers concert in Buffalo?
As dozens of people wrote comments on social media to show their support for Latoia, there was one commentator in particular who stood out. That woman, named Nicole, offered to give away free tickets to another Jonas Brothers concert in Buffalo, New York. Telling her story in a follow-up video on TikTok, Latoia said she gladly accepted the offer.
As he was performing on stage at the Buffalo concert, Joe noticed Latoia from her Instagram video.
“Joe never knew I was coming,” Latoia said. “He sees me, but it’s like he’s looking around and he looks at me again and he’s like, ‘Is that the girl? I know that’s not the girl who said she’s not coming to any more shows, but here she is.'”
Joe then made a heart sign with his hands to Latoia and suddenly started coming down the stage to invite his fan.
“In that moment, Joe made me very loved, very seen as a Black woman,” Latoia said. “I got to sing with ‘thee’ Joe Jonas.”
Latoia showed deep gratitude for the iconic singer and for Nicole. The next goal, Latoia said, is to make sure the Jonas Brothers can give some tickets to Nicole and her family.
“She was so amazing,” Latoia said. “She did not have to do that.”
To the fans who may be wondering what Joe Jonas smells like, Latoia was happy to give an answer.
“He smells like heaven,” she said. “He smells so good.”
