Jordan Chiles is nearing a major milestone in college gymnastics. The Olympian has achieved three 10 scores so far. A fourth perfect score would propel her to the rare club of gymnasts having achieved a “Gym Slam.”

Jordan Chiles recently achieved her third perfect 10 score

The 24-year-old gymnast scored her third perfect 10 during UCLA’s win against Nebraska on Saturday. She was seen launching on the vault into a double-twisting Yurchenko, which earned her the accolade. Her teammates rushed to congratulate her after the achievement and chanted, “10! 10! 10!,” The Grio reported.

“Wow!! Another 10 in the books!! Honestly words can’t describe how happy I am!!! It took me 4 years to finally get a 10 on vault!! Only going up from here!!! Anything is possible,” Chiles captioned her Instagram post after the event.

During the Saturday competition, Chiles also posted a score of 9.90 on uneven bars and a 9.975 on the balance beam, per Forbes. UCLA won 197.325–195.25 against Nebraska. Next up, the Bruins will be competing against Michigan State on Jan. 25. Fans can watch the event live on FOX at 1:00 p.m. ET.

What is a Gym Slam?

A Gym Slam refers to the instance in which a college gymnast achieves perfect 10 scores in all four disciplines, including the vault, the uneven bars, the balance beam and the floor exercise.

Only 15 athletes have achieved the milestone, including Olympic medalists Jade Carey, Kyla Ross, Bridget Sloan and Courtney Kupets. Former Florida Gator gymnast Trinity Thomas holds the record for the most Gym Slam,s with five achieved in her NCAA career, Forbes reported.

Chiles is only one 10 score away from getting a Gym Slam, with the balance beam being the only event left for her to conquer.
