Jordan Chiles got a little emotional after Normani sent in a video message to the gymnast during an interview on Access Hollywood

While talking with hosts Kit Hoover and Scott Evans, Chiles referenced the video that she posted of her dancing and lip-syncing to Ed Sheeran’s "Shape of You," which has since gone viral, and mentioned celebrity reposts from Reese Witherspoon and Normani.

To her surprise, the hosts then directed Jordan to the screen for an incoming message from the “Wild Side” singer.

“Hey Jordan. Hey girl hey. I am freaking out right now. I’m really trying to keep my composure because I’m actually a super fan and I’m really proud of your journey,” Normani said in the video.

“Congratulations on winning silver in Tokyo! I see you girl. Keep up the great work. I just wanted to say continue to work hard, continue to exude Black girl magic because you make me very, very proud and I’m living through you because I used to be a gymnast but sis, I knew I wasn’t going to the Olympics…I love you so much. I’m sending you many hugs and kisses. Be great!” she continued.

The Olympic silver medalist was stunned to receive the message from Normani, who recently commented on one of the gymnasts' Instagram posts.

“Oooh! I am going to start crying. Oh my gosh, man! I was not expecting that at all!” Chiles said after watching the video.

The 20-year-old even continued to showcase her love for Normani, by opting into the #wildsidedancechallenge, a trend where social media users recreate the choreography to the “Wild Side” music video.

Now that she is back in the states after an unprecedented Olympic Games, Chiles is preparing for Athleta’s Gold Over America Tour starring Simone Biles and other all-star gymnasts.

In December, Chiles will be attending UCLA and will compete under the university’s gymnastics team starting in 2022.

"I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, I love their energy. I love their vibe,’” Chiles said about UCLA when watching them compete against her hometown, Daily Bruin reported. “This is what I want to experience because college gymnastics, to me, you should have fun with it.”

“UCLA was that school where I was like, ‘OK, I’ll be able to enjoy the rest of my life, being at this school and still having the ability to be me,’” Chiles added. “A lot of things came down to UCLA, UCLA, UCLA.”
