Director Sanaa Hamri, known for helming Just Wright starring Queen Latifah and Common, has just been tapped for a new ABC Family, two-hour musical film production.

The project, still in the early development stage, reunites her with famed executive producer Debra Martin Chase. They collaborated on The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and Just Wright.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie…”centers on Harper Hutton, who drinks a mysterious elixir that shaves decades off of her life. Under the spell of sorts, she attends the wedding of her estranged daughter in disguise, with the intent of stopping her from marrying a playboy.”

Hamri’s additional tv work includes directing episodes of Men In Trees, Shameless and Desperate Housewives.

Chase, also known for producing Lemonade Mouth and The Cheetah Girls franchise, is also producing the current Sparkle remake in development.
