There is tension between Kanye West and his estranged wife Kim Kardashian over the video-sharing app TikTok and their daughter North West. In a post that he shared to his Instagram account on Friday, Ye asked his fans how to handle the situation concerning North—now 8-years-old—regularly seen having fun on TikTok.

"SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE," Ye said. "I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY DAUGHTER BEING PUT ON TIK TOK AGAINST MY WILL ?"

Ye has expressed concerns about his daughter using the app in the past, including in an exclusive interview with Hollywood Unlocked's Jason Lee. Ye seemingly addresses Kardashian directly during the interview, telling her not to have their daughter on the app unless he approves it.

"Don't have my daughter wearing lipstick on TikTok — or don't have her on TikTok at all," Ye said. "if I'm not there to approve that."
