In her short time on TikTok, North has made an impact, amassing over 5.5 million followers. With the TikTok account (@kimandnorth) that she shares with her mother, North has enjoyed singing along with her mother, showing off her braces, and doing relatively safe activities. The account's bio indicates that the page is run by an adult, presumably Kardashian herself. However, in the past, North once went live on the app without her mother's permission.
In response to Ye's message, Kardashian posted a short statement on Instagram. The Skims mogul alleged that Ye had attacked her online and offline, which she feels is more damaging than North's social media presence.
"As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing the best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision—because it brings her happiness," Kardashian said. "Divorce is difficult enough on our children, and Kanye's obsession and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all."
Kardashian explains that all she ever wanted was to have a healthy and supportive co-parenting relationship with her estranged husband, but feels he is making it impossible to achieve that.
"I wish to handle all matters regarding our children privately and hopefully," Kardashian said. "he can finally respond to the third attorney he has had in the last year to resolve any issues amicably."
However, in the most Kanye-est way, Ye rebutted Kardashian's claims to be their children's primary provider with another Instagram post. In the post that has amassed almost 500K likes and 27.2K comments, Ye alleges that Kardashian has accused him of stealing from the home the couple used to share and being on controlled substances.
"What do you mean by main provider? America saw you try to kidnap my daughter on her birthday by not providing the address," Ye said. Ye followed up with a screenshot of the TikTok age requirements, which describes how users under the age of 13 are redirected to a part of the app tailored to their demographics. Additionally, the "TikTok for Younger Users experience" includes additional privacy and safety features.
