Video of a horrifying crash in Los Angeles has begun circulating online, and some misinformed rumors involving a couple of social media personalities have also started flying around.

The fatal car crash went down Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Slauson Ave. and La Brea Ave., and it was all caught on camera.

The footage opens with a standard view of numerous drivers going about their day. Suddenly, viewers can see a dark-colored Mercedes speeding down the road at breakneck speed, ultimately running the red light and colliding with numerous other vehicles, causing a fiery crash.

According to FOX 11, this violent crash and combustion ultimately resulted in at least six deaths and eight injuries; a pregnant woman and an infant are among the deceased.

On-scene witnesses recalled the harrowing incident in statements to KTLA 5.

“All of the sudden, a baby literally flew from the middle of the intersection to the middle of the gas station and landed right on the floor in front of me,” Veronica Esquival, who was pumping gas near the intersection, told the outlet. “One of the workers came and saw me with the baby and took the baby out of my hands. Somebody tried to resuscitate the baby, but the baby was gone.”

“We have a total of at least six to seven vehicles involved, at minimum, at this time. Three became engulfed in flames,” CHP spokesperson Franco Pepi noted, according to KTLA 5.

The driver who caused this multi-car collision managed to walk away from the incident with her life. However, she’s now in boiling-hot water, especially considering the alleged details behind her reckless driving.

An alleged friend of the driver said she was drinking before the collision and had engaged in an argument with her partner, KTLA 5 reports.

“She was drinking, and she was not aware it was a red light, so she shot straight through,” the alleged friend told the outlet.

In addition to the facts of the case, there has also been some misinformed speculation that either Miracle Watts or Kayla Nicole Jones — two social media stars who are currently pregnant — were involved in the tragedy.

However, both women swiftly jumped online to clear up these rumors.

“I Am Ok. Thanks For Everyone Concerned. & Let’s keep those who were involved in that crash today in our prayers,” Watts shared on her Instagram Story.
