Keke Palmer has yet to publicly speak about her boyfriend Darius Jackson seemingly shaming her fashion choices as a new mother, but she’s letting her latest merch do the talking for now.
As Blavity previously reported, Palmer recently attended Usher’s My Way Las Vegas residency. During the show, the “Confessions” singer stopped by the 29-year-old’s VIP area to serenade her, as he often does for fans and other celebrities. The two embraced each other with a hug as he sang “There Goes My Baby” and remained in each other’s arms for a few more moments as the crowd cheered on. He allowed her to show off her vocal skills when he put the mic in her direction to sing some of the lyrics.

The video clip of the Nope actor’s moment of bliss quickly went viral. When her boyfriend caught wind of the recording, he wasn’t a fan of her wardrobe and tweeted, “It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom.” The Big Boss director sported a sexy, sheer dress that revealed her butt cheeks. Fans quickly came to her defense, so much so that Jackson deactivated his Twitter account and removed all the photos of Palmer on his Instagram page.
There have been no reports on whether the couple has broken up since the public incident, as neither one has made any statements since Jackson’s tweet. This drama hasn’t stopped Palmer from working, as she’s continued to post brand partnerships, speaking engagements, interviews and more across her social media platforms. One of her recent posts has fans buzzing because the gag is that the NAACP Image Award winner is turning her relationship scandal into profit by selling “I’m a Motha” and “Stevie to the Bulls**t” crewnecks and T-shirts, ranging from $30 to $45, which seemingly refer to the incident.
Fans are speculating that her response to the criticism was a strategic business move. To promote the new merchandise, she posted a video on Instagram that begins with her singing Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely” to her baby boy. A slideshow featuring pictures of the two is also shown with the caption, “One thing is certain and one thing is true, IM A MOTHA, through and through! 😍 ‘IM A MOTHA’ and ‘Stevie to the bullshit’ shirts available NOW! Link in bio 🙂 To all my mom’s out there, how did your baby change you?? Mine empowered me! On such another level, my perspective changed because when my baby is good I’m GREAT! Look at that face! Gratitude galore.”
