When Kevin Hart invited Don Cheadle on his talk show, he may not have anticipated some brief ageism.

In the latest episode of Hart to Heart, Cheadle accepted Hart’s invitation to come and talk about his life and his illustrious acting career.

During the conversation, Cheadle discussed his love of jazz music, his thoughts on his life and then he revealed that he was 56 years old. When Hart learned of Cheadle's age he yelled out, "Damn," which was then followed by a moment of silence and an icy stare from Cheadle.

"I'm sorry," Hart quickly said. "I'm sorry. It was a thought and I blurted it out. I didn't mean it that way."

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry because it was a thought,” Hart added.

Cheadle explained to Hart that everything was fine but the awkwardness was undeniable in the studio. They went on to discuss the tone of Hart's "damn" with Hart claiming he was being complimentary but Cheadle didn’t see it that way.

"If we could play it back right now, these are two different 'damns,” Cheadle said.

The clip went viral as it circulated on social media and as expected, Twitter gave us some hilarious reactions to the clip.

One person wrote that Cheadle gave Hart the ultimate stare.

Another person was "weak" after watching the exchange.

The awkward silence was a classic moment.

Another person shared what they thought Cheadle really wanted to say.

Although the clip may have caught some off guard, Hart and Cheadle are good friends and were in on the joke. On his Instagram, Hart described the conversation.

“My new talk show ‘Hart to Heart’ is streaming now on @peacocktv,” his caption read. “Real conversation with no prep at all…. It’s dope as hell. Here is a small clip of me & @doncheadle doing what we do best and that’s being assholes to one another ???????????????? Go stream “Hart to Heart” on @peacocktv NOW."

Cheadle also shared his thoughts about the viral clip on his Twitter and said he looking forward to doing a movie with Hart in the future.
