The R&B star continued to tell people to mind their own business, saying his sexuality will not affect the world in any way.
“I got outted and the world still continues to turn. Letâs get this straight (lmao) I am not ashamed of my sexuality! In reality it ainât nobodies business! But I am okay with me,” he wrote on social media. “love yall.”Â
Who is Hugo D. Almonte?
According to Rolling Stone, Twitter/X personality and aspiring singer Hugo D. Almonte sparked the recent speculations about Khalid when he shared a photo of himself with Khalid and made accusations.
In the series of posts he published on X, which are now deleted, Almonte said a âgay R&B singerâ once âtried to set me up and lie that I broke into his house.â
In turn, Almonte has received backlash for outing Khalid.
Mind you, I couldnât even name one of Hugoâs songs even if I googled it. He needs Khalid, not the other way around đ.
Hope the clout was worth it. pic.twitter.com/Jw8j3bIOjt

Outing someone with purely messy intentions will always upset me. Hugo can kiss whatever sliver of a career he had gone, you just simply donât do that. Iâm glad that Khalid is in a space where he seems to be not affected. Still ainât right though by any means, but glad heâs good.

As Khalid confirmed his identity, one person resurfaced the singer’s 2022 music video for “Satellite.”
“Then there was the LGBTQ anthem he gave us in 2022 but ya’ll kinda slept. Either way.. hate that Khalid was forced out but he wasn’t ‘hiding’ it. He just didn’t need to TELL nobody,â the person wrote on X.
