Last week, Sony Music Executive L.A. Reid abruptly left his position. Now, there is a possible motive behind the departure.

The New York Post reports that a female co-worker has accused Reid of several instances of sexual harassment in a March 22 letter a lawyer for the woman sent to Julie Swidler, Sony Music’s General Counsel. The 60-year-old music industry veteran allegedly made inappropriate physical advances toward an assistant at last December’s company holiday party, among other instances. The female assistant, whose name we don't know, is also claiming that Reid asked her to lie down in bed with him and give him a hug while the two were at a hotel while traveling on business.

Both Sony and Reid had no comment about the letter nor the allegations. The story is developing.

L.A. Reid has been in the industry for years, and this is not a great way to go out. Only time will tell what happens next.
