Here’s a new opportunity to add to the growing slate of development programs for up-and-coming filmmakers. JuntoBox Films, the collaborative film studio co-chaired by Forest Whitaker, recently announced the launch of the JuntoBox Feature Film Incubator at the LA Film Festival.
The Incubator is an in-depth story development and production readiness program for narrative feature film projects that can be produced for $2.5 million or less. Based on a slate of applications submitted via its website, JuntoBox will choose eight to ten projects to participate in group workshops and one-on-one meetings with industry professionals, all with the goal of bringing each project to a high degree of production readiness.
At the end of the program one project will be chosen to be produced by JuntoBox in Spring 2015. Eligibility is broad – any writer, director or producer that owns the rights to a feature-length screenplay of any genre is able to apply.
The application deadline is June 27, and the Incubator is set to take place in September 2014. Learn more about the Feature Film Incubator, and apply on the JuntoBox Films website HERE.
