Actor LaKeith Stanfield has joined the people who are trolling Omarion, the singer whose name is spelled similar to the newest COVID-19 variant. Stanfield went straight to Omarion's DM in a slight against Omicron, the variant that is spreading quickly across the globe during the holidays.
“You ruining Christmas for everybody smh,” Stanfield said jokingly in a message to Omarion.
The actor then posted the message to his Instagram on Sunday, saying, “I’m weak I wonder if he’s gonna respond.”
Omarion has been going along with the jokes as people continue to compare his name to the variant.
"I can’t stand y’all," he said jokingly on his Instagram page on Saturday. "Happy holidays."
The artist also added some wellness tips, saying "sea moss up. base up. Sun light up. Sending love & healing energy to all."
Stanfield apparently isn't the only person who's sliding into Omarion's DMs to blame him for the virus.
PLEASE. @Omarion

While social media users are finding some humor with the latest variant, doctors are reminding people to get their booster shots and protect themselves from the virus. In Ohio, where hospitals are running low on beds, doctors and nurses took out a full-page newspaper ad to plead with unvaccinated Americans, The New York Times reports.
"Help," the staff wrote in the ad.
According to a recent survey from the Kaiser Family Foundation, 87% of unvaccinated adults said the threat of the new variant will not convince them to get shots.
