Latto has won big with her latest charting singles, remix with Mariah Carey, and accolades. To tour the world and give her fans 100%, Latto confessed that her sister Brooklyn inspired her to take her mental health seriously. The “Put It On Da Floor Again” artist admitted that living with ADHD didn’t allow her to relax but found mental relaxation through body massages.
“I do not play with my massages. I get them twice a week if I can,” Latto said. “Respectfully, I never even acknowledged mental health before being famous. It’s not that I didn’t believe in it; it just had never crossed my mind. But being in the limelight, I understand the importance of mental health, me-time, and self-care.”
“Really, this came from my little sister. She is my rock, my everything. But I was like, Man, I don’t want to lie there. I’ll get bored. I’ve got ADHD. My anxiety isn’t going to let me,” she said. “But, I really fell in love with it. Massages are more mental than physical for me.”
Latto isn’t only keeping her mental well-being in check; she’s even hired a trainer to get her right in the gym. The Atlanta native has been candid with fans about her cosmetic surgery history with a Brazillian butt lift and 360 liposuction. The icon admitted to almost scheduling a third procedure but decided to train in the gym.
“I got a BBL in 2020. I also got 360 lipo. That’s on my stomach, back, sides, and whole torso. But then you’ve got to maintain it. So I just hired a trainer,” Latto said. “I tweeted the other day that I was almost going to get a round two of surgery, and then I was like, let me just get a trainer instead.”
“If you look on my Instagram, you’ll see I’ve always worked out — before and after the surgery. But I will leave early or not push myself as hard. Having a trainer holds you accountable,” she shared.
With the help of her sister and trainer, Latto seems to have healthy and helpful accountable partners around but admitted to having anxiety and sadness when reading trolls comments online.
“I get overwhelmed and overstimulated. That’s when my anxiety is at a peak. I’ll literally feel my heart beating, and I’ll be like, Relax! But I just gotta learn how to deal with it because it’s not going to get any easier. I’m just going to get more famous. If you’re not strong enough to see stuff and not respond, then you just need to get off,” she said.
