Atlanta rapper Latto dropped by Big Boy’s Neighborhood to promote her album 777 ahead of its release on Friday. The “Big Energy” rapper told Big Boy that the road to completing the project was packed with frustration.

During the conversation, Latto revealed that a male rapper featured on her upcoming album made it difficult to clear a feature because she wouldn’t respond to a direct message.

“I’m clearing my album right now and it’s been, like, difficult to deal with these men, you know what I’m saying?” Latto said during the interview. “They don’t know how to keep it business … I don’t care, I’m just keeping 100. It’s a feature on my album that was difficult to clear, and they like trying to drop their nuts on me because I won’t respond to a DM.”

She later revealed that the rapper would still appear on the album, however.

“Yeah, just because I love the song so much and I had to turn it in yesterday, so I didn’t really have a choice,” she continued. “So I was backed into a corner, like, bullied. But I wish more females would speak up on stuff. I know like the label they say, ‘You know, don’t do that. It’s bad business,’ or whatever. Man, these folks be trying to drop nuts on female rappers, like I’m not gonna shut up about it.”

After the interview released, Kodak Black, who is featured on the album, tweeted in an attempt to clear his name.

“That Mulatto Girl IS NOT Talkin Bout Me Homie,” he wrote Tuesday morning. “I See Y’all Steady Reachin Lol … Shawty Ain’t Even Say A N***a Name On Dat Shit Ion Know Why Tf Y’all Tryna Make A N***a Wear Dat Jacket I’m Too Fly Fa Dat Shit Homie.”

Fans were quick to accuse Kodak, referencing an interview where he mentioned that any woman he works with in the studio is required to engage in sexual intercourse with him, Hot New Hip Hop reports.

“Look, my female artists, this is how it is. ‘Cause I know n***as and s**t like that, I gotta bust ’em. They ain’t gotta be my girlfriend but I’m a bust ’em,” he said, according to Hot New Hip Hop.
