South Korean singer Jungkook of K-Pop boyband BTS is expected to make his solo debut this week with ‘Seven,” and the song will feature none other than Latto.
On Thursday at midnight KST (11 a.m. ET), Jungkook dropped the official music teaser for his debut single, “Seven.”
His teaser’s emergence revealed two significant things about what’s to come: the clip’s title illuminates that the song will feature American rapper Latto. The teaser includes an appearance from South Korean actress Han So-Hee.
“Weight of the world on my shoulders / I guess you’re wasting years of mine, “Jungkook sings in the teaser for “Seven.”
The song will be released on Friday.
On June 30, Jungkook’s label Big Hit Music announced the upcoming release through the fan community platform, Weverse.
In the press statement, as reported by NME, Big Hit Music described the song as “an invigorating’ summer song’ that is sure to have you experience the full breadth of Jungkook’s charm. We hope that ‘Seven’ will bring your summer fun to the next level.”
In addition to the statement, the label announced that releasing his new single would begin his “official solo activities.”
“We ask you to extend your utmost anticipation and support for his digital single and many other activities to come,” the statement added.

Latto recently opened up in an interview with Cosmopolitan about fame and her mental health.
“I get overwhelmed and overstimulated. That’s when my anxiety is at a peak. I’ll literally feel my heart beating, and I’ll be like, Relax! But I just gotta learn how to deal with it because it’s not going to get any easier. I’m just going to get more famous. If you’re not strong enough to see stuff and not respond, then you just need to get off,” she said.
