Tabloid websites MediaTakeOut and BlackSportsOnline are facing backlash from LeBron and Savannah James as well as many others after posting a reprehensible story about 16-year-old Bronny James which appeared to have no merit.
Three days ago, Bronny liked a run-of-the-mill photo on Instagram from his best friend's mom, Larsa Pippen. Bronny is close with Scottie Pippen Jr., a sophomore at Vanderbilt University and son of NBA legend Scottie Pippen.
For some reason, MediaTakeOut, followed by BlackSportsOnline, used that one like to write a story claiming the 16-year-old and 46-year-old Larsa were communicating on Instagram in a sexual manner. They ran headlines implying Bronny was "shooting his shot" at Larsa.
Almost immediately, the now-deleted stories on both sites caused outrage because Bronny is a child and they were based on a single like of a single photo.
Both of Bronny's parents responded on Instagram, slamming the outlets for running a story of that caliber about a minor.
"With everything going on in the world right now, THIS is the shit y'all talking about….At the end of the day y'all are talking about a minor. I don't care what type of 'celebrity' y'all think he is, he's a child and the bullshit needs to stop," Savannah wrote on her Instagram Story.
Mrs. Savannah James has spoken. We love to see it. ???????????????????????? #Bronny

LeBron echoed his wife's statement, warning MediaTakeOut and BlackSportsOnline that they may face consequences for the story.
"Uh-Oh y'all fucked with the wrong one now! Good luck. It won't be cute!" he wrote after sharing his wife's response on Instagram.
